The high-profile Paterson Park, which welcomes all to Ladner, is getting a minor landscape refresh.
Crews have already chopped down the hulking hedges that crowded the sidewalk and blocked visibility into the park from Harvest Drive. Doing so also will improve public safety at the bus stop and improve the appearance, city staff say.
In addition, the City of Delta will plant another 23 new trees this spring and fall along the Harvest Drive side of the park, as well as in other areas within the park.
Improved flower beds will also spruce up the look of the corner of Ladner Trunk Road and Harvest Drive.
