Delta throwback: Your local meat shop

Let’s head back to 1908 and check out the former butcher shop in a building on Westham Street (48th Avenue) which is still there today.

The above Delta Archives photo shows the Stokes and Cullis Meat Market.

Bob Stokes and Frank Cullis also operated a feed lot and a slaughter house to supply meat for their shop.

The building was also occupied by Ken Tancock's Delta Meat Market from 1946 to 1972.
