A poll by poll analysis of election day totals

Carla Qualtrough is heading back to Ottawa. The Liberal incumbent retained her seat in Delta in Monday’s federal election with a comfortable 4,000-vote margin over Conservative Tanya Corbet.

Calling it an exciting campaign, New Democrat Randy Anderson-Fennell was pleased with the results of Monday’s federal election. Anderson-Fennell finished third in the polls garnering 8,654 votes (16.2 per cent).

It was more disappointment for the Conservative machine in Monday’s federal election as it failed to reclaim the former stronghold of Delta.

If it was up to Delta students this riding would have a New Democrat member of Parliament.

The Liberal cabinet minister easily outdistanced six challengers to hold the seat she first won back in 2015. With 175 of 189 polls reporting, Qualtrough had a more than 4,000-vote lead over her nearest pursuer, Conservative Tanya Corbet.

Incumbent Carla Qualtrough of the Liberals has jumped out to an early lead on federal election night in Delta. With 60 of 189 polls reporting, Qualtrough has a 1000-vote lead over Tanya Corbet of the Conservatives.

There is an old saying that “if you don’t vote, you can’t complain” about the decisions your various levels of government make.
