In front of a standing-room only crowd at the Tsawwassen Springs ballroom in July, Conservative leader Andrew Scheer (pictured with Delta candidate Tanya Corbet) shared his vision for the country. He'll be back in Tsawwassen Friday to announce how he'll pay for his election platform.

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer is coming to South Delta tomorrow for a major federal election announcement.

The party has confirmed a media briefing will be held at Tsawwassen Springs in the morning to outline details of the Conservative platform, followed by an announcement by Scheer.

Scheer, who visited Tsawwassen this summer to support newly acclaimed Delta candidate Tanya Corbet, has faced questions about the cost of his campaign promises including how he’ll balance the budget in five years.

Scheer will attend a rally in Langley later in the day.

Reports indicate NDP leader Jagmeet Singh will also provide costing details of his platform.

The Liberals released their platform on Sept. 29.

Scheer’s announcement will come as advance polls open Friday at 9 a.m., closing at 9 p.m. on Monday.

He said there would be “plenty of time” for Canadians to review his platform.

The election will be held Oct. 21.
