Let’s do throwback tonight. The above photo from 1939 shows Ladner Lacrosse Team player Owen Swan taking a break after a game with his dog by his side.
Local field lacrosse games were normally played at Memorial Park in an area along the south side until box lacrosse became popular. A paved area beside Garry Street was laid down with bleachers for spectators.
