Help Earthwise make 2020 the year of the sunflower.
Sunflowers are happy, cheerful, and inspire hope. They are fun to watch grow over the summer months, they are fabulous for pollinators, and the seeds are great for birds and humans! What's not to love?
Whether you are a kid, or just a big kid at heart, test your gardening skills by growing a prize-winning sunflower! Prizes will be awarded in two categories: kids, and kids at heart. The young farmers are challenged to grow the tallest plant, the biggest flower, and the sunniest sunflower. For the young at heart, prizes will be awarded for the showiest sunflower, the best for small spaces, the most popular with pollinators. Grab your seeds and start digging.
To enter the contest, take a picture of your prized sunflower and email it to [email protected]. Be sure to mention if you are a kid (include your age) or a kid at heart! Earthwise will display the pictures on our social media wall.
Contest will wrap up in August.
