2021_fvrl_1361
There are a host of programs at all three libraries this month.

Come experiment, craft and get creative with fun activities at STEAMpunk on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the George Mackie Library.

Discover how to solve the Playground's Puzzle Cubes, program an ozobot, and much more! On Feb. 8, they will make paper airplanes and then race them; on Feb. 15, they can put on a puppet show; and on Feb. 22, kids will have fun with riddles and puzzles. This program is suitable for kids ages eight to 12. Children under 10 years of age are to be accompanied by an adult. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate with their children.

Join Ladner Pioneer Library staff for STEAM Activities on the third Thursday of the month from 3:15 to 4 p.m.

Using various Fraser Valley Regional Library playground equipment, pre and young teens aged 10 to 13 (grades 4 to 6) can participate in different STEAM challenges. Learning experiences include Sphero Bolts on Feb. 16, paper airplanes on March 16, and a construction challenge on April 20. Space is limited. Registration is required.

Bring your imagination to the Tsawwassen Library. Drop in for Imagination Station on Sundays from 2 to 3 p.m. (except Feb. 19 and April 9) and test your engineering skills while you build amazing structures with LEGO, KEVA planks and Magformers. Fun for all ages.

Are you looking for STEAM experiences for younger children ages two to six? Come to Storytime! While preparing children to learn to read, staff include STEAM concepts which support children to creatively explore ideas, engage in inquiry-based learning, and develop critical thinking skills. There are multiple opportunities for children and caregivers to enjoy interactive story times throughout the week at your local Delta library:
