Ladner United Church's Christmas Village Bazaar has a new venue this year - the Harris Barn.

Themed baskets (A Taste of Delta is one example) will be set up "front and centre" at the restored barn, notes bazaar co-ordinator Pat Rogers. There will be over 60 baskets in the silent auction.

A new feature this year includes guests having the chance to have their pictures taken for free in a "living nativity pageant" outside. Costumes will be provided and the photos will be emailed to the participants.

Also, bricks from Ladner United's chimney will be available in the silent auction or as a keepsake for $10 each.

The church is currently being restored and renovated.

Hungry shoppers will be able to get lunch at the event. Baking, preserves and candy will be available too.

There will be a free door prize as well.

The bazaar will be held Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Harris Barn (on the Kirkland House site), 4140 Arthur Dr., Ladner.
