The George Mackie Library presents Then and Now, a new art exhibit on display from now until Aug. 31.

The ArtWall exhibit features the works of local Delta artist Diana Muttart.

Muttart’s passion for art began in early childhood and never stopped.

She attended Kwantlen College’s Fine Arts Education Program in the 1980s and 1990s. During that time, she connected with four other artists and formed a group called “Simply Friends.”

Together, they had many exhibitions in Delta and other communities. They embarked on long painting trips, which resulted in several paintings in the current collection displayed at the George Mackie Library.

Muttart is also a member of a group of artists called the “Artistic Sisterhood,” who held an exhibition at the library in January and February.

She and her husband Barry have been long-time residents of North Delta. They raised their two daughters in this community and still reside here.
