The Fraser Valley Regional Library is hosting a four-part seniors series which starts this Thursday, Sept. 7 at the Tsawwassen Library.

Tsawwassen Library is offering a four-part series for seniors on the first Thursday of each month at 1 p.m.

Share your experiences and life stories with family members, such as grandchildren.

At Storytelling 101: Family Storytelling on Thursday, Sept. 7, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. you will learn how to intrigue and captivate your audience. This workshop will help you discover your voice, engage your listeners, and start the journey to become an imaginative storyteller.

In October, November and December, Linda Yauk from Seniors First BC will present three free programs: Advance Planning, Frauds & Scams and Staying Connected.

Join us for Advance Planning on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. to learn how to plan for your future with wills, powers of attorney, and representation agreements. Planning can help ensure your wishes will be respected when relying on someone else to make decisions for you and after you die.

On Thursday, Nov. 2, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. learn about frauds and scams, the most common methods and schemes targeting Canadian seniors, and safety strategies.

Discover resources to consult if you know someone who got scammed. There is a correlation between social isolation and decreased well-being. Learn how we can do our part to stay connected with loved ones.

On Thursday, Dec. 7, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., discover the importance of this month's topic: Staying Connected: Preventing Social Isolation & Loneliness.

The Seniors First BC presentation of Frauds and Scams will also offered at the George Mackie Library in North Delta on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.

While intended for an audience of seniors, the information presented will be useful for the public in general.
