Delta emergency crews are responding to another crash on 47A Avenue in Ladner late Monday afternoon.

The crash occurred shortly after 5 p.m. and appears to have involved two vehicles, between Garry and 48B streets. One of the vehicles ended up on its roof.

According to Delta Police Acting Insp. and media spokesperson James Sandberg, there were fortunately no injuries. He added it's too early to determine the cause of the accident and asks the public not to speculate on social media.

The city’s Transportation Technical Committee earlier this year discussed traffic and safety issues along 47A Avenue, prompted by concerns from local residents and businesses following several previous collisions.

Peak hour turning movement and pedestrian counts at the intersections of 47A Avenue with Delta, Garry and 48B streets were to be collected.

Possible road safety measures will be identified for consideration and public feedback, the committee was told.
