Two Bruces, Bruce McDonald and Bruce Fougner, will compete for the B.C. Liberal nomination in Delta South Tuesday.

Fougner is the president of a Vancouver travel agency, and has spent the last six years on the board of the Delta Hospital Foundation.

"I want to join the strong group of candidates who are coming forward to run for the B.C. Liberals," said Fougner. "The renewal going on inside the B.C. Liberal Party is refreshing, and it is exciting to be a part of it."

McDonald has served on Delta council for seven terms, and previously had a long career as an air traffic controller.

"The next election will be very important for British Columbia," said McDonald. "Delta South needs a strong representative to help Premier Christy Clark and the B.C. Liberals win in 2013."

The candidate selection meeting will take place at the Delta Town & Country Inn. Each candidate will deliver a speech at 7 p.m. with voting taking place between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Results will follow immediately.
