The City of Delta has issued a request for quotes from qualified contractors for the provision of tree removal and trail restoration for the Chesapeake Trail in Ladner.

The trail is located in the vicinity of 5900 Ferry Road and the project includes 35 trees - seven of which are to be removed with the remainder reduced and modified, including the removal of larger limbs.

The city has indicated it wants an estimated start date of Oct. 2 and for the work completed in just over five weeks.

All works are to be completed within working hours permitted by Delta’s noise bylaw from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and no work on Sunday.
