As liaison officer for Tsawwassen First Nation, Grandia contributed significantly to building a safe and healthy community. His leadership enabled TFN Elders, the TFN Language and Culture Department and TFN Social Services to build a number of successful programs to address substance misuse, education, justice based programming and youth programming. “Mike’s work has helped create a culture of peace health and wellness in the community and therefore we consider him to be a most worthy recipient of this award,” said Laureen McCleery, president of Tsawwasen Rotary.
