Summer school has been cancelled, the Delta school district announced Thursday.
"All academic courses that were scheduled to run this summer are cancelled," school superintendent Dianne Turner wrote in a letter posted on the district's website. "To mitigate the impact of no summer courses, administrators are developing options for completion of these courses in the fall."
Summer school can't proceed as planned due to the ongoing labour dispute between the BC Teachers' Federation and the BC Public School Employers' Association, Turner noted.
"We remain committed to supporting our students and will work with affected students and families to ensure successful course completion," she said in the letter.
