A look at Delta Street in 1906

A couple of the buildings are still around today.

Let's take another step back to yesteryear visit Delta Street in Ladner Village, looking toward the harbour, in 1906.

The black and white photo shows the newly built general store, which was owned by Lanning, Fawcett and Wilson, at the end.

That heritage building on Chisholm Street is still there today.

The old image also shows various other businesses on the street including the Delta Meat Market and IOOF/Royal Bank building on the left.

The former bank building is also still standing today, the only one on Delta Street that’s still around from that time period.

The old photo also shows the McNeely building on the right.

The poles holding electric lines were new to the street.

Also shown is an inset photo of the street today.
