Fun run around Southlands in early August helps Reach youth

Not much is better than having a run in the sun, to help people out, then following that up with a get together with friends, a couple of beers and some barbecue bratwurst sausage and buns.

Four Winds Brewing is hosting such an event Aug. 5, called Winded, in aid of the Reach Child and Youth Development Society.

As part of the $60 entry fee, participants also get a custom branded winded T-shirt and the chance to chill out in the beer garden at the Red Barn at Southlands Tsawwassen on Market Avenue in Delta.

The fun starts at 9:30 a.m. and an hour later, the post-race barbecue begins and continues until 3 p.m.

The barbecue and beer are garden are open to all, so bring your friends, family or support group to join in the fun, says Four Winds.

Other sponsors who are helping with the day include iA Private Wealth Tsawwassen, Newmans Fine Foods, and The Run Inn, athletic footwear store.
