The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Tuesday, Feb. 5 and Monday, Feb. 11:

Tsawwassen

. February 6, 6: 55 a.m., 1800-block of 56th Street: A lady reported hearing her car alarm sound. Upon reaching her car she noticed a man standing nearby. He quickly left in a truck. Car window had been smashed but nothing stolen.

. February 7, 9: 37 a.m., 1100-block of Tsatsu Shores Drive: Building manager reported a lock leading to the underground parking had been damaged. Lock rendered inoperable. Unlikely entry gained. Check of vehicles revealed no obvious damage. No theft or other damage reported since then.

. February 9, 11: 23 p.m., 5500-block of 9th Avenue: A man heard a loud "bang" and an alarm sound. Upon going outside he discovered a crack in his car's windshield. A nearby group of about 10 youths quickly left the area. Search revealed no suspects. Damage: about $300.

. February 9, 1: 30 a.m., 900-block of Pacific Drive: Complainant woke to the sound of his truck alarm. On checking, the extra sets of keys were missing and the driver's door had been damaged by punching the lock. Damage and loss of keys: approximately $700.

Ladner

. February 5, 8: 41 a.m., Harvest Drive: Complainant attended police headquarters to report an apparent identity theft. His expired driver's licence number and date of birth were used to open a cell phone account in July 2012.

He was recently advised of the approximately $600 in payments due by the carrier. The carrier's fraud department is investigating.

. February 6, 3 p.m., 7400-block of Hopcott Road: Woman reported that her vehicle was broken into and her laptop stolen.

Access probably gained by breaking the seal of a front door and pulling the trunk lever. Approximate value of damage: $110.

. February 8, 9 a.m., 5800-block of 60th Avenue: Complainant's van was broken into overnight by damaging a door handle and lock, then smashing a front passenger window. Stolen were sunglasses, vehicle papers, tool box and contents. Total value of items stolen: approximately $300; damages: about $500.

. February 9, 7: 30 p.m., 72nd Street: A man parked his locked scooter and upon return discovered it gone. Approximate value of scooter: $300. Approximate value of rain helmet, pants and miscellaneous tools: about $150.

. February 10, 12: 30 a.m., 6200-block of 48A Avenue: A man heard a loud bang and looked outside where he observed three males and a female kicking fence panels, then fleeing. Damage: approximately $100. No suspects located.

. February 10, 12: 45 a.m., Clarence Taylor Crescent: Complainants left their bags in the unsecured change room. Upon returning their smart phones were missing. Police attended but no suspects identified.
