The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police department responded to in the South Delta area between Monday, Dec. 5 and Monday, Dec. 12:

TSAWWASSEN

. December 5, 7: 58 p.m., 1800-block of 56th Street: Complainant reported that while he was in the athletic centre his wallet was stolen from his unsecured locker. Information regarding missing cards entered on CPIC.

. December 6, 4: 41 p.m., 5300-block of 16th Avenue: Unknown persons spray painted white and black graffiti on the north fence behind the apartment complex.

. December 8, 3: 36 a.m., 56th Street and Highway 17: A report was received that a minivan was heading north with one tire missing and sparks coming from the rim. The vehicle was later located having crashed into a hydro pole and coming to rest in the ditch. The driver, who was transported to hospital, claimed he had continued to drive his vehicle as he was late for work.

. December 10, 12: 28 p.m., 500-block of 52nd Avenue: Complainant reported that sometime late in the evening his wife heard a crash and on investigation found a vehicle had knocked down his fence, causing $200 in damage. No witnesses or suspects as the vehicle had fled the scene.

. December 11, 5300-block of 1st Avenue: Complainant reported her neighbours were having a Christmas party with loud music. When police arrived the party was ending and the music was turned down. The host, who was advised of the noise bylaw, was cooperative and apologetic with police.

LADNER

. December 8, 3: 24 p.m., 5400-block of Ladner Trunk Road: Two males in the pub liquor store concealed a $53 bottle of Gray Goose vodka and left the store without paying. The police were provided with surveillance video and will distribute still photos of the suspects. Investigation is still ongoing.

. December 9, 11: 35 p.m., 5200-block of Ladner Trunk Road: The owner of the electronics store received a call from the alarm company informing him the store alarm had been activated. When the complainant arrived at the store, he found the chain link fence was cut and the back door had been pried open. Police seized several items for finger printing.

. December 11, 2: 14 p.m., 5000-block of 44th Avenue: Complainant called to report someone had stolen Frosty the Snowman from his front yard. The snowman was later recovered in a neighbour's yard.

. December 11, 4: 12 p.m., 4800-block of 48th Avenue: A report was received of an abandoned vehicle in the parking lot. Investigation found the vehicle was donated to the secondary school and had been stolen from the school parking lot. The vehicle was towed to the school and stored in a secure compound.

. December 11, 3: 12 p.m., 4600-block of 62nd Street: While the complainant was watching her daughter's soccer game, someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her purse. Items in purse include bank and credit cards, and driver's licence. Information regarding her property was added to police database.
