The city is gathering public feedback on another major housing application in North Delta.

The proposed redevelopment at 7702 and 7740-119A St. would see a multi-unit project with 283 residential units.

The proposal includes two, six-storey condo buildings, one fronting Scott Road and the other oriented towards 119A Street.

Vehicles would access the North Delta site from 119A Street. There would be two levels of underground parking, including 336 resident vehicle spaces, 48 visitor spaces and 293 bicycle parking stalls.

A central open landscaped area would be provided between the buildings above the parking area.

The project was reviewed at a council Committee of the Whole meeting last fall while at a pre-application stage.

Since that time, the application, which requires rezoning and an Official Community Plan amendment, has been revised slightly.

Project manager Kyle Nagtegaal at the meeting assured council that the development would not “over-densify” the neighbourhood.

The applicant, Realco, is also behind the 182-unit “Scott & Nicholson” condo complex near the corner of 70th Avenue and Scott Road.

A public information meeting will be held on May 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Jarvis Elementary School gymnasium, while another will be held June 7, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Heath Elementary School gymnasium.
