Delta Police are currently investigating a collision involving a motorcyclist on Highway 99.
Sgt. James Sandberg told the Optimist in an email received by our newsroom just after 9 p.m., that officers are at the scene of the collision northbound Highway 99, just north of the Ladner Trunk Road exit (9500 block).
“The collision involved a motorcycle and the motorcyclist has been transported to hospital for non-life threatening injuries,” said Sandberg. “Highway 99 northbound traffic is being diverted onto Ladner Trunk Road due to the scene and related investigation. The northbound onramp from Ladner Trunk Road westbound is also closed during the investigation. Police are encouraging drivers to avoid the area.”
Sandberg said investigators have not yet provided an update on expected/estimated duration of the closures.
