It was an opportunity for local adults and high school students to check out a plethora of potential career opportunities.
Held at the Sungod Recreation Centre on Thursday, the Career and Hiring Fair was organized by WorkBC Centre and the Delta School District.
Students got the chance to meet with local employers and also connect with post-secondary schools.
The fair was also an opportunity for employers to get the word out about full-time, part-time and summertime opportunities.
According to WorkBC’s latest market overview, employment is at a record high in B.C. and the unemployment rate is near a historical low.
Employers face challenges finding enough trained workers, but job seekers need to expand their skills and competencies as jobs continue to evolve.
