Sunday's road race will feature community fest

There's more than just Tour de Delta racing action Sunday, July 12 in Tsawwassen. A community festival is also planned at Dennison Park, the heart of the new White Spot Delta Road Race course.

A community festival is also planned at Dennison Park, the heart of the new White Spot Delta Road Race course.

Billed as an all-ages celebration of South Delta sport, recreation and culture, the event will include a sport zone with a range of local sports organizations with active participation activities and information about their associations.

A kids zone will have bouncy rides and interactive games along with activities. There will also be a Kids Crit (2:30 p.m. for six-to eight-year-olds and 2:45 p.m. for nine-to 11-yearolds). Register in advance at delta.ca/deltareg or by calling 604-952-3000.

A food and beverage zone will include White Spot's Triple O's, other food vendors and a Rotary Club of Tsawwassen beer tent.

The community zone will have tents from local organizations and also crafts from local artisans.

The community festival goes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Dennison Park, 755-53rd
