The upgrades are part of the city’s annual Crosswalk, Streetlight and Traffic Signal Improvements Project.

The City of Delta has issued a request for bids for the design and construction inspection services for four crosswalk improvements and two traffic signal improvements.

The crosswalk improvements will be located at:

6th Avenue at Milsom Wynd

Nicholson Road at Chateau Wynd (new crosswalk)

The traffic signal improvements will be located at:

The crosswalk improvements may include rectangular rapid flashing beacons, new push buttons and posts, signage and pavement markings, new street lighting, sidewalk let-downs and curb extensions.

Meanwhile, the intersection improvements on 12th Avenue at Ferguson Road/Hunter Road are required to accommodate a new full traffic signal and may include, among other things, new signal poles and signal heads, new push buttons, a new detector loop and new street lighting.
