Alalouf & Musil participating in all-star game

South Delta Minor Hockey alumni Nathan Alalouf and Adam Musil are among six players from the Greater Vancouver Canadians selected to play in tonight's B.C.Major Midget Hocey League all-star game in Langley.

Alalouf, 16, is in his second season between the pipes for Greater Vancouver. He is currently listed with the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League, Musil, 15, is second in team scoring with 25 points in 21 games, including nine goals. He was selected sixth overall in last spring's WHL Bantam Draft by the Red Deer Rebels.

Other Canadians named to the squad include defencemen Shaun Dosanjh and Ty Schultz, along with forwards Austin Adamson and Glenn Gawdin.

The all-star game, slated to start at 7 p.m., is part of a league showcase weekend at the Langley Events Centre.

The Canadians will also take on the Cariboo Cougars on Saturday and Sunday.

Greater Vancouver dropped a pair of games to the Valley West Hawks last weekend and currently sit in sixth place with a 12-12-2 record.

The Hawks took both games by 3-2 scores to win all four games in the season series.
