It's a playoff script that's all too familiar to the Greater Vancouver Canadians. For the fifth consecutive year the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League rivals met in the post-season and the result has been the same each time.

For the fifth consecutive year the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League rivals met in the post-season and the result has been the same each time. The Giants prevailed 5-3 in a third and deciding game and went on to repeat as champions by defeating the Okanagan Rockets in the finals.

The Canadians were 20 minutes away from completing a semi-final sweep when the Giants rallied for a pair of third period goals in a 4-3 game two victory.

Greater Vancouver led 3-1 after 20 minutes in game three before the Giants stormed back with three unanswered goals in the second period to take control of the series for good.

Greater Vancouver surprised the favoured hosts by rallying for a 6-4 victory in the series opener.

Canadians sniper and WHL-bound Glenn Gawdin finished tied for top spot among all playoff scorers with 11 points in six games, including seven goals.

Gawdin will be playing in Swift Current next season.

Otis Goldman also enjoyed a productive postseason with nine points, including four goals.

The five-time champion Giants now face Alberta for the Pacific Region championship.
