The Delta U16 Selects continued their outstanding season by capturing the Coastal A Cup championship with a 2-1 victory over the Upper Island Storm. The result came on the heels of earlier wins against the North Shore Renegades (3-0) and the Fraser Valley Selects (2-0) in the semi-finals. Delta cruised to the Metro Selects League title with an 18-2-2 record. Including cup play, the Selects surrendered just 13 goals in 25 games. Next up for the girls is the Provincial A Cup Championships in Langley in early July. The Selects roster includes: Jasleen Johal, Katherine Connor, Kelsy Carreiro, Kelsey Kovich, Sydney Antonyk, Lauren Gau, Alison Bogar, Stephanie Isaksson, Megan Gamesaee, Sydney Lowe, Shelby Scanks, Evangelia Souros, Brittany Paul, Meghan Jones, Naomi Jones, Mikayla Hamilton and Alexa Gramm. The team is coached by Rick Carreriro, Gregg Antonyk and Tod Lowe. The manager is Michele Gramm.
