The Tsawwassen Dodgers are Midget AA tier III baseball champions after doubling the host North Delta Dodgers 4-2 in the final late last month. Helped by strong defensive support, pitcher Justin Russell came within two outs of going the distance. Several times North Delta came close to scoring but runners were put out at home plate. Catcher Jared MacMillan batted in two runs to secure the win. The team also includes: Mark Dykstra, Alex von Schulmann, Jonathan Murphy, Adam Bosch, Brock Lawson, Kevin Marlowe, Yuichiro Tsukasa, Robert Scarr, Richard Topp, Nolan Gallagher and Sam Smith. The Dodgers were coached by Stu Bosch and Brian Lawson.
