After capturing the South Fraser Spring Interlock Midget AA Baseball League pennant, the Tsawwassen Dodgers set their sights on completing a memorable season by winning the tier 1 South Fraser Interlock Playoffs.

Despite being placed in the tougher of the tier one playoff pools, the Dodgers went to work right away in their first game against a gritty Sechelt team.

Tsawwassen made the trek to the Sunshine Coast worth their while with an 8-1 victory.

Donny Mackintosh pitched a 6 and 1/3 inning gem, recording 11 strikeouts, before giving way to Connor Edinger for the save. Mackintosh would also help his cause by hitting a monster home run in the third.

Up next was the Surrey Mariners with Ben Lawson getting the start on the mound. He recorded seven strikeouts in only four innings of work, and Edinger would complete the game once again, in a 13-3 romp.

The Dodgers kept rolling with a 7-0 victory over cross-town rival Ladner Cubs.

Macintosh continued his dominance on the mound, striking out 11 in 5 and 2/3s innings of work. Justin DeRoy closed the game out.

A win in their final round-robin game against the Cloverdale Blue Jays would mean home field advantage in the semifinals.

Lawson and Mackintosh combined for 11 strikeouts as the Dodgers rolled to a 10-5 win, earning a final four date with the Ladner Red Sox.

This time it took a three pitcher effort (Lawson, DeRoy and Edinger) to produce another 10-5 win.

The perfect post-season run was completed with another decisive victory, this time a 6-0 result over the Cloverdale Cardinals in the championship game.

Once again, the hosts received outstanding pitching from Mackintosh, who recorded seven strikeouts.

The teams also received key offensive and defensive contributions from: Riley Born, Matt Jutras, Brock Lawson, Martin O'Hara, Connor Sim, Derek Solano, Kento Tanaka and Dustin Triano.

The coaching staff of Dan Hodgens, Dave Edinger, and John Solano is very proud to see their players accomplish the elusive double feat of regular season and playoff champions.

The Dodgers thank the parents and executives from Tsawwassen baseball for their support all season and tirelessly efforts.

They would also like to congratulate the tier 2 playoff champions Tsawwassen Yankees for their great playoff run. This marks the first time that two Tsawwassen teams have won both tier playoff championships and league pennants.
