The Delta Pacers tennis team wrapped up an outstanding season with a ninth place finish at last weekend's Provincial "AAA" Championships.
With the team featuring plenty of novice level players, the season far exceeded expectations. The Pacers were also the top finisher among competing Fraser Valley schools.
"The success of this year's team was spurred by some of our strongest players anchoring the team through consistent wins, complemented by our younger players who won some pivotal matches where it most counted," said Pacers coach Gordon Browne. "The team's parent volunteers also played an important role in our path to the Provincials and the dedication of everyone involved was essential to our success this year."
The team includes captains Jennie Jackson and Kyle Browne; along with Alex Santos, Amir Athwal, Adrian Tanskanen, Matt Jackson, Chris Jackson, Jessica Steinwand, Christine Soares, Ashley Kusumoto, Wendel Vistan, Cyrus Kohlmetz, Bonnie Shao and Joslin O'Brian.
