The 2012-13 edition of the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League's Greater Vancouver Canadians will feature five players who have come through the South Delta Minor Hockey system.

Forwards Mitch Walter, Andrew Klukas and Adam Musil, along with defenceman Phoenix Worth and goaltender Nathan Alalouf, were named to the squad following the Canadians' final pre-season game last Saturday against the Vancouver Northwest Giants.

Walter, Klukas and Alalouf are all back for their second season with the club.

Walter (Edmonton) and Alalouf (Saskatoon) attended Western Hockey League training camps and remain property of their respective teams. Klukas received an invite to the Surrey Eagles' main camp.

Worth was a frequent call-up after spending last season with the South Delta Midget A1 Storm. He is property of the Lethbridge Hurricanes after being selected in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.

Musil spent some time in the South Delta Minor rep system before shifting over to the powerhouse Burnaby Winter Club program where he had a leading role in his team winning the Western Canadian Bantam AAA Championship. He was taken sixth overall by the Red Deer Rebels in last spring's Bantam Draft. Musil is the son of former NHL defenceman Frantisek Musil and the younger brother of Vancouver Giants blueliner David Musil.

The Canadians roster includes another top 15-year-old prospect - former Seafair standout Glenn Gawdin - who went fifth overall in the Bantam Draft to Swift Current.

Rounding out the returning players are: Josh Murphy, Austin Adamson and Shaun Dosanjh.

Greater Vancouver opens regular season play on Sept. 29 when the Giants visit the Richmond Olympic Oval at 4: 15 p.m.
