The Tsawwassen native is among five athletes who will be inducted into the UBC Sports Hall of Fame in early April.

Lipp-Derrheim, a member of UBC's women's golf team from 1990-1994, will enter the hall thanks to a long list of achievements both before and after her graduation.

In 1992, she became the first UBC golfer to win a NCAA tournament after carding the lowest 54-hole total in the University of Wyoming Invitational. She won the Canadian amateur crown in 1995, joining a list that includes Jocelyn Bourassa, Dawn Coe-Jones and A.J. Eathorne. The South Delta secondary graduate turned professional later that same year and played in various pro tours in Canada, the USA and Europe. In 2000, she qualified to play in the final two rounds of the LPGA du Maurier Classic at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club, one of only four Canadians to make the cut.

In 2005, Lipp-Derrheim was part of the inaugural inductees into the Delta Sports Hall of Fame. She still resides in Tsawwassen and golf remains a big part of her life despite raising a young family. She is Trade Show manager for the B.C. PGA and is married to Beach Grove head professional Brent Derrheim.

The UBC 2012 class also includes Delta Deas Rowing Club co-founder Bill McKerlich. He was a member of the 1960 UBC/Vancouver Rowing Club eight crew that represented Canada at the 1960 Summer Olympic Games in Rome where it captured the silver medal after a close race with the heavily favoured German crew.

Keith Donald, who is now a member of the DDRC masters program, also was a member of the Canadian team.
