The Delta Ice Hawks and Richmond Sockeyes will meet for the fourth consecutive year in the Pacific International Junior Hockey League's Tom Conference finals, starting Tuesday night in Ladner.

There has been little to separate these two rivals over the years with each club managing a pair of PIJHL championships during their four-year dominance. The Hawks took out Richmond in six games a year ago en route to the title.

The Sockeyes enjoy home ice advantage, having finished two points better than Delta in the regular season standings. The head-to-head league encounters saw each team win three games. They both also swept their opening round playoff opponents.

The Ice Hawks eliminated the North Vancouver Wolf Pack, while Richmond defeated North Delta 4-3 Wednesday to close out its series.

Game one gets underway at 7: 30 p.m. at the Ladner Leisure Centre.

The series then shifts to Minoru Arena next Thursday (7: 30 p.m.) and Sunday, March 10 (5: 45 p.m.).
