The Ladner Boys Soccer Club held another successful jamboree this past Saturday at Dugald Morrison Park for players from the 2005 to 2007 age groups.
Even though the day started off with a few rain showers, spirits were high and the kids enjoyed scrimmaging as they prepare for the upcoming 2011/2012 season.
As the weather cleared and the sun broke through, Ladner FC technical director Russ Heggie and the tireless volunteer parents put the kids through their paces to assess them in order to balance the teams.
The season is just starting and there is still time to register your child for a fun year of soccer. Team sports promote valuable skills that benefit children for life such as team spirit, the ability to work with others, learning respect for authority figures and peers, as well as creating a lifelong love of sports and exercise.
