The Delta Islanders are hoping history will repeat itself when they open the B.C. Junior "A" Lacrosse League playoffs tomorrow night at the Ladner Leisure Centre.

The Islanders host the Langley Thunder, looking to sweep the Fraser Valley squad for the second straight year.

The third place Islanders (12-8-1) were 12 points better than the sixth place Thunder (6-14-1) in the league standings and also won the season series.

However, the teams did play to a 9-9 tie in their most recent meeting last week.

Game two goes Monday in Langley and, if needed, a deciding game would be played in Ladner next Wednesday. Game time tomorrow is 7: 30 p.m.
