Ole Hatlelid managed a third place finish in the B.C. season-opening event of the Boston Pizza-presented Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour.
The 16-year-old from Ladner fired rounds of 72-73-82 to finish behind Richmond's Alexander Chen and Alex Francois of Burnaby.
A packed field of competitive young golfers from B.C., Alberta and Washington State, teed off in a three-day tournament.
The opening 36 holes were at Mayfair Lakes in Richmond before shifting to the Vancouver Golf Club (VGC) for the final round.
The 102-year-old VGC hosted to the 2012 Canadian Women's Open last summer and was a treat to play for golfers.
The next Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour stop is the KIKKOR Classic at Morgan Creek Golf Course in South Surrey April 6-7. It is a qualifier for the East Aurora International Junior Masters in New York. For more information www.maplejt.com
