Tsawwassen's Josh Nicholls has been named Western Hockey League player of the week after leading the Saskatoon Blades to four straight victories.

Tsawwassen's Josh Nicholls has been named Western Hockey League player of the week after leading the Saskatoon Blades to four straight victories.

The 20-year-old South Delta Minor Hockey product had three goals and fives assists as the Blades produced wins over Brandon, Moose Jaw, Swift Current and Kootenay.

He now leads the WHL in goals with 26 and is ninth in overall scoring with 44 points in 33 games.

Nicholls was originally a second round pick by the Blades in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft and has since gone on to appear in 294 games collecting a 117 goals and 272 points.
