Pacers Basketball hosting pair of development camps this fall

The Delta Pacers varsity boys basketball program is bringing in a couple of high profile instructors for one day development camps this fall.

The Pacers Youth Basketball Clinic will take place Saturday, October 20 and is designed for boys and girls in Grades 4 to 8.

The camp will be headed by Chris Hyppa, a native of Tacoma, WA who has an extensive background working with players from youth to college, as well an instructor at the Isiah Thomas Skills Academy and the NBA's Avery Bradley (Boston Celtics) Camp.

In three hours of non-stop action, Hyppa will take players through a variety of innovative drills while focusing on fundamentals.

Participants will also receive a skills workout package to take home.

The cost of the camp is $40.

On Saturday Nov. 17, the Pacers will be hosting a Shooting Clinic, led by Dave Love, a highly-regarded NBA Shooting Consultant.

Love's background is impressive, having spent time on the Phoenix Suns coaching staff during the 2009-10 season. He currently works with the Tulsa 66ers - the D-League affiliate of the the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as the University of Calgary Dinosaurs.

The camp features two three hour sessions (10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2 p.m.-5 p.m.) and is open to players age 11 and up. The cost is $49.95.
