Ladner dumps kelowna in claude boulanger final

An impressive start to the all-star baseball season for the Ladner Pee Wee AA Red Sox includes capturing the recent Claude Boulanger Tournament in Cloverdale.

After compiling a 2-1 record in round-robin play, the Red Sox moved onto the semi-finals where they beat the North Delta Angels.

Ladner then capped an impressive weekend with an 11-6 victory over a strong opponent from Kelowna in the final.

After the game head coach Kal Phagura said the victory came down to "everyone doing their job, from top of the order to the bottom."

The rest of the coaching staff, Bruce MacKenzie, Liam Phagura and Brian Yamasaki, was very impressed with the team's performance.

The roster includes Jared Baltzer, Kieran Phagura, Ryan MacKenzie, Michael Tersigni, Ethan Prasad, Tyler Sanders, Jared Romaniuk , Evan Hixt, Sam MacFarlane, Jaicob Hastings and Jaiden Robinson.

The team also owns an impressive 4-1 record so far in provincial qualifying play.
