Three members of the provincial champion South Delta Sun Devils football team will be heading to Texas during the holiday season as part of Team B.C. participating in the FBU International Games.

The tournament is taking place in San Antonio during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Week. Team B.C. will play Team Europe on Jan. 3 at Heroes Stadium and Team USA on Jan. 5 at the Alamodome.

The 36-player roster includes receiver David Mann and defensive back Dennis Olivera, while Sun Devils head coach Ray Moon will serve as defensive line coach.

Mann and Olivera were both selected provincial "AA" all-stars in helping South Delta win its second provincial title in school history. Mann was named the most outstanding player of the championship game thanks to his work on offence, as well as playing safety and returning kicks. Olivera produced a fourth quarter interception that helped seal a 31-14 win over the Mission Roadrunners.

The Team B.C. roster is comprised of seven defensive backs, six defensive linemen, six offensive linemen, six receivers, five linebackers, four running backs and two quarterbacks.

The group features six members of the provincial "AAA" champion Mout Douglas Rams, including Player of the Year Marcus Davis and Subway MVP running back Mason Swift.

Additional local flavour to the roster is Vancouver College Grade 12 running back Liam Mahara who grew up in the South Delta Rams community organization before heading to the Fighting Irish program in Grade 8.

Team B.C. is led by head coach and offensive line coach Tom Kudaba (Terry Fox Ravens).
