Tsawwassen's Brendan Hodge has been named to the Canadian team that will be competing at the upcoming 2013 World Rowing Championships in Chungju, South Korea.
The regatta runs from Aug. 25 to Sept. 1, and is the highlight of the international calendar for high-performance athletes preparing for the next Olympic Games in Rio 2016.
Hodge will be teamed with Ontario's Eric Woelfl for the lightweight pairs event. They captured last week's Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St Catherines, competing against heavyweight crews.
Hodge spent his junior years in the powerhouse Brentwood College high school program before attending Harvard University.
