For the first time in over 15 years, a Midget AA baseball club from Tsawwassen has captured the South Fraser Spring Interlock League.

The Tsawwassen Dodgers compiled a 14-1-1 record while competing in the strongest baseball interlock in the Lower Mainland. The South Fraser league involves teams from South Delta, North Delta, Surrey, White Rock, Cloverdale, Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast. The Dodgers started the season strong by winning their first seven games as well as a 7-7 tie with Cloverdale, before experiencing their first loss to their cross-town rivals from Ladner. After the loss, Tsawwassen would go undefeated the rest of the regular season to capture the coveted league pennant.

The clinching victories came on the last weekend of the regular season by sweeping Surrey in a doubleheader, 14-0 in the first

game and 12-0 in the second. The second game would see Tsawwassen pitcher Donny Mackintosh throw a 10-strikeout no-hitter.

The spring season would see the Dodgers score 181 runs, while only allowing 51.

The Dodgers received pitching performances from Mackintosh, Ben Lawson, Matt Jutras, Justin DeRoy, Brock Lawson, Connor Edinger and even a one-game relief stint from first-year player Dustin Triano.

Derek Solano and Connor Sim provided great performances and leadership throughout the spring. Riley Born, Martin O'Hara and Kento Takata rounded out the roster with strong hitting and defence.

Coaches Dan Hodgens, Dave Edinger and John Solano were proud of the regular season efforts from the players.

The Dodgers would like to thank the parents and executives from Tsawwassen Baseball for their support throughout the season.
