Tsawwassen's Nick Demak and Justin DeRoy saw their baseball seasons end in Morden, Manitoba.

The pair were added to provincial champion Prince George's roster for the Western Canadian Midget AA Championships. Initially four Tsawwassen players were considered for "Team B.C." but the spots were limited due to Prince George already having a 16-man roster.

That left Connor Edinger and Donny Mackintosh off the team after they had already been short listed.

"Though I felt not selecting Edinger for his defensive skills and Mackintosh for his consistent hitting and versatility in the field was a mistake, I was excited and proud that Demak and DeRoy were the only players selected to the team," said Tsawwassen head coach Dan Hodgens.

Demak established himself in Tsawwassen's starting pitching rotation with a number of solid appearances during the summer all-star season and provincial championships.

DeRoy hit several home runs during the summer season including three at the provincials.

Prince George enjoyed a competitive run at the Westerns but didn't reach the podium, despite out scoring its opponents 27-22 over the four games.
