Ladner Boys Soccer Club's U10 development team cashed in with a strong showing in Las Vegas.

The Celtic headed to the world's gambling capital to face some elite competition at the Vegas Cup. A year long fund raising campaign made the trip possible and the Ladner boys didn't disappoint, finishing in first place in the Group Stage with the highest number of points of all U10 teams.

Ladner won its three games by an aggregate of 13-6 to secure a spot in the semi-finals. The impressive run ended there with a heartbreaking defeat to the Las Vegas Academy Heast.

"It was an excellent tournament that showed the determination of the whole team and I'm very proud of the way these boys played," said Celtic head coach Jack Torok. "This coupled with playing in a fantastic setting; it's something the boys will remember for the rest of their lives."

The team included: Josh Bermel, Zac Sherwin, Vaughn Thomas, Samuel Wilkinson, Braedy Euerby, Quinn Torok, Spencer Yesowick, Kian Mackie, Nic Lanchester, Austin Labelle, Ben Kraemer, Jonah Jackson, Matt Willford. The coaching staff also featured Doug Wilkinson and Grant Willford.
