After several years of playing together, the Ladner Threat U17 soccer team is going for the gold.

The girls have always been at or near the top of league play but have lost a couple of heartbreakers in cup playdowns.

This year the Threat is indeed threatening. This past weekend, they dominated territorial play in the cup semi-final, defeating a tough New Westminster squad 2-0 to advance to the BC Coastal Girls Association cup final in April. Thirty-Two teams started, only two remain.

Coach Raj Uppal is thrilled that his kids have been able to bear the fruit of their hard work in the rain snow and wind over the years.

The Threat is a dedicated team of exceptional hard working young ladies that have shown professionalism at a young age by managing their time to compete at the highest level while ensuring that school and other commitments are met.

The team includes: Chalane Morrison, Priscilla LawsonPires, Albain Provost, Celine Coschizza, Marnie-Lynne Schneider, Codi Bateman, Ellery Uppal, Savanna Philips, Brynna Symons, Melaina Marra, Erin Cochrane, Megan Fenn, Katie Cole-McGilligan and Allison Dueck.
