Corey Williamson enjoyed a six point night, including three goals, as the Ladner Pioneers kept pace near the top of the West Coast Senior Lacrosse League standings with a 12-6 home floor win over the Port Moody Thunder last Thursday.
The result leaves Ladner with a 9301 record heading into tomorrow's home game (8 p.m.) against the last place North Shore Indians and just three points back of the front-running Valley Rebels (112-0-0). Defending league champions TriCity Bandits (10-2-0-1) are just one point ahead.
Travis St. German also had a big outing with two goals and five assists, while Cam Taylor added a hat trick and one assist.
Dave Yee and Vince Johansson also scored. Tom Graham added three helpers.
After hosting North Shore, the Pioneers visit the Bandits on Saturday in a showdown that will go a long way towards determining at least second place. The teams split two earlier games.
