Winskill Dolphins have been training at the Ladner Outdoor Pool in preparation for this weekend's Vancouver Coastal Summer Divisional Championships at Watermania in Richmond.

The Winskill Dolphins are gearing up for the final big meets of the long course season starting with this weekend’s Vancouver Coastal Summer Divisional Championships at Watermania in Richmond.

With 18 swimmers, the Dolphins will be a small, but mighty contingent and head coach Judy Baker has high hopes for great results and personal bests for many swimmers.

This meet is part of the Swim BC Provincial Competition plan and swimmers need to achieve qualifying times to be able to participate at Divisionals.

Those swimmers who achieve the next level of qualifying times are then able to compete in the Summer Provincial Championships where the Dolphins already have a number of swimmers qualified and expect to add more with strong divisional performances. That meet will take place July 14 to 17 at UBC.

Joining Baker and Dolphins’ assistant head coach Duco Schuurman Hess in Richmond this weekend are: Marley Dodds, Caitlyn Fowler, Tiffany Ho, Bodey Iverson, Isla Lord, Evan Maloney, Kyla Marshall, Abby McLeod, Zach McLeod, Naomi Mynott, Alina Paul, Matias Raffai, Sophie Raffai, Isabel Rapier, Jan Tkacik, Jacob Zabusky, Kacey Zepeda and Yinan Zhu.
