I couldn't agree more. A councillor can't do two jobs - one in Victoria and one in Delta. Scott Hamilton is kidding himself if he thinks he can.
He serves on various Delta committees (as well as at the Metro Vancouver level). I fail to see how he can adequately cover these responsibilities while darting back and forth to Victoria. There is potential for conflict of interest too.
I disagree with Hamilton's comments when he states: "Everybody's telling him that they don't want a by-election." Has he asked the residents of South Delta about this?
I suggest he needs a reminder that although he got a majority in his riding, many North Delta residents did not vote for him. Has he asked them for their opinion?
