On behalf of the Boundary Bay Park Association I would like to thank all the people who visited Cammidge House last Sunday for our annual Heritage Day event.

This year's theme was Main Street - the Heart of the Community and it was enlightening to listen toour visitors who had lived in Tsawwassen and Ladner, in one instance since 1945, and the stories they told of life before and after the opening of the George Massey Tunnel.

Over the years as we have been putting on this event it is always encouraging to hear people add the human experience to what tends to be dull, old historical facts.

Thanks also to Metro Vancouver Parks (West Area) for their display, the Boundary Bay Quilters Guild that put on a colourful display of their work and the vintage car owners who always draw a crowd of fathers of all ages reminiscing about the cars they have known.

The success of the event is always enhanced by our visitors and makes us look forward to next year.
