I have lived adjacent to Chisholm Street at Shorewalk for 21 years. I attended previous meetings concerning the development of the Ladner waterfront and feel there was some good input and discussion by the players involved.
I think that development is good. I respect Delta council and know the decisions it makes will be the right ones and not extreme. Developments such as Shorewalk, Seafarer and River West are at the right height for along the river and I feel this height would be a good pattern and flow to follow.
I do not approve of the scare tactics Save the Waterfront used in the brochure delivered in our mail. Change is going to happen so we have to be a positive part of it. We live in a beautiful location and I feel this something we can share.
We cannot live in a cocoon and shut the world out. It is a selfish attitude that is a no-win.
